The Details

The site was a former filling station and motor dealership that was adversely affected by the the close proximity of the flood plain. The technical issues were resolved with the environmental agency, an outline planning permission obtained.

Lafford James was formally instructed by the landowner and promoter to undertake a full marketing exercise. This provided the stakeholders with the assurance that the best value had been obtained. A full information pack was prepared and the site was advertised locally and nationally.

We received a good amount of interest, with both conditional and unconditional offers being received. A “subject to detailed planning” sale resulted and exchanged quickly afterwards.

Over the course of the instruction we provided consultancy advice in respect of sales revenues, housing mix, and planning.
